Abstract

The article analyses the curricular model of the Romanian Language and Literature as a school subject from the perspective of the imperative to update and optimize the contemporary educational process. In the context of the recent curricular reform, the curriculum moves beyond the traditional view of prescribed contents, being redefined as a dynamic and coherent system of documents capable of ensuring convergence between goals, contents, and teaching-learning-evaluation strategies. The study offers a theoretical-applicative approach to the main products that guide classroom activity: the subject curriculum, the textbook, the methodological guide, and the student workbook. Particular attention is paid to the integration of current trends, such as digitalization and the new educations, viewed as essential vectors in streamlining the transition from the designed curriculum to the one implemented de facto.
Keywords: curricular model, curriculum, textbook, methodological guide, student workbook, digitalization, the new educations, updating, optimization.
