Developing Argumentative Skills in a Digital Environment: an Applied Approach in the 6th Grade

Abstract

The study presents a didactic intervention conducted in the 6th grade, aimed at developing argumentative writing skills through the use of the interactive digital book “Detectivii argumentelor” (Argument Detectives), created on the Educație Interactivă platform. The research involved 23 students and included an initial assessment and a final assessment, using the same criterion-based evaluation grid. The results show a significant improvement in students’ performance, as the average class grade increased from 7.78 to 8.6. The most notable progress was recorded in the Examples/Evidence and Coherence/Structure criteria, confirming the effectiveness of gamification and immediate feedback in the development of written communication skills.
