1. About the Journal

Didactica Pro... is a scholarly journal of educational theory and practice, founded on 28 June 2000 and published by the Private Institution Periodical Publication Journal "Didactica Pro...", the press body of the PRO DIDACTICA Educational Center (Chișinău, Republic of Moldova). The journal addresses secondary- and higher-education teachers, school managers, researchers, doctoral students, and anyone interested in the field of education.

Didactica Pro... aims to support the modernization and reform of the education system in the Republic of Moldova, to reflect the principles of "new education", to disseminate advanced practice from pre-university and higher education, at home and abroad, and to promote European integration through education.

4. Open Access Policy

Didactica Pro... is an Open Access journal, in line with the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI). All published issues, with the exception of the current (most recent) issue, are freely and fully available for reading, downloading, sharing, and citation, with no access fees and no subscription requirement.

Readers may download, cite, and distribute the journal's content while respecting copyright — with mandatory acknowledgement of source and authors — without requiring prior consent from the Editorial Board or the authors, within the limits of the applicable licence (see Section 5).

5. Copyright and Licensing

• Copyright: authors retain copyright over their published work and grant the journal the right of first publication.
• Licence: articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which permits copying, redistribution, and adaptation of the material for any purpose, including commercial use, provided appropriate credit is given to the author and the original source.
• Responsibility: responsibility for the accuracy, originality, and veracity of an article's content rests exclusively with its signing author(s).

6. Peer Review Process

The journal applies a double-blind peer review process designed to ensure objectivity and rigour:

1. Desk review: the responsible editor checks the manuscript's fit with the journal's scope, compliance with formatting requirements, and originality (plagiarism screening).
2. External review: at least two independent experts — holding the title of professor, associate professor, or researcher with relevant subject-matter expertise — evaluate the anonymized manuscript without knowledge of the authors' identity (and vice versa).
3. Evaluation criteria: topicality and originality, scientific grounding, methodological rigour, clarity and soundness of argumentation, relevance of references, and anticipated impact on educational practice.
4. Editorial decision: Accept; Accept with minor revisions; Accept with major revisions; or Reject. Where reviewer recommendations diverge significantly, a third expert is consulted.
5. Finalization: authors revise the manuscript according to the feedback received; the final publication decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief, based on the Editorial Board's recommendation.

Review reports are retained by the editorial office in a separate file for each issue of the journal.

7. Publication Ethics and Research Integrity

Didactica Pro... adheres to the principles and guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and applies a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism, data fabrication or falsification, and redundant (duplicate) publication.

7.1. Authorship and Responsibilities

• Authorship is limited to individuals who made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the study.
• Authors guarantee the full originality of their work; plagiarism, self-plagiarism (text recycling), and redundant or concurrent submission of the same manuscript to multiple journals are strictly prohibited.
• Manuscripts must be accompanied by a signed declaration of authenticity and a written consent for publication.

7.2. Conflicts of Interest

All participants in the editorial process — authors, reviewers, and Editorial Board members — must disclose any financial, professional, or personal relationship that could inappropriately influence the evaluation or publication of a manuscript.

7.3. Research Involving Human Subjects

For studies involving students, teachers, minors, or other human participants, authors must confirm that informed consent was obtained and that the research was conducted in accordance with ethical principles safeguarding participants' privacy and anonymity.

8. Article Processing Charges (APC)

To cover the costs of editorial management, peer review, copyediting, professional layout, online hosting, and long-term archiving, the journal may apply an Article Processing Charge (APC), under the following terms:

• Rate: EUR 40 per 10,000 characters (including spaces).
• Calculation: the fee is calculated on the final volume of the manuscript, after peer review and layout have been completed.
• Transparency: no submission or registration fees are charged; the APC is invoiced only after formal acceptance for publication. Rejected articles are never charged.
• Waiver policy: the Editorial Board may grant partial or full waivers to authors who demonstrate documented financial hardship or who are affiliated with institutions/economies with limited resources; requests are submitted to the editorial office and assessed by the Editorial Board on a case-by-case basis.

9. Digital Archiving and Database Indexing

The journal's content is archived and indexed for long-term visibility and traceability in the following international and national databases and resources:

Authors are encouraged to deposit the accepted or published version of their work in institutional repositories, in line with the Open Access Policy described in Section 4.

10. Metadata and Indexing Standards

To ensure discoverability in international databases, the journal applies the following minimum metadata standards:

• Title: provided in Romanian, with an English translation.
• Abstract: structured (background, aims, methodology, results, conclusions), written in both Romanian and English.
• Keywords: 5–7 specific terms, in both languages.
• References: formatted according to APA style, 7th edition; DOIs should be included where available.
• Author information: full name, academic title and degree, complete institutional affiliation, e-mail address, and ORCID identifier (recommended).

11. Author Guidelines (summary)

The detailed author guidelines, including complete formatting, layout, and citation requirements, are available on the journal's Manuscript Submission page. Key requirements:

• the manuscript is original, has not been previously published, and is not under review elsewhere;
• submitted as a Microsoft Word/OpenOffice file; single-spaced text, Times New Roman, 12 pt;
• length: 5–7 A4 pages (margins: top 15 mm, bottom/left/right 20 mm), 1.5 line spacing;
• structure: title (RO/EN), author(s) and affiliation, abstract (RO/EN, approx. 150 characters), keywords (RO/EN), introduction, main content, conclusions, recommendations, references;
• illustrative material (max. 3–5 figures/tables), provided in clear graphic format, minimum 300 dpi, with captions and source;
• in-text citations are given in square brackets [8]; page-specific citations as [8, p. 231];
• manuscripts are submitted 1.5–2 months before the anticipated publication date, via the journal's online platform or to didacticapro@prodidactica.md.

12. Corrections and Retraction Policy

• Corrections/Errata: errors identified after publication are addressed through a visibly linked "Erratum" notice attached to the original article.
• Retractions: articles found to contain serious flaws, unethical research conduct, or plagiarism are retracted in accordance with the COPE Retraction Guidelines, with a public explanatory note retained.
